Oct 17, USA (SUN) Today is the celebration of Lord Krsna's rasa dance with the Gopis, marked by the first full moon of the Autumn season, or Asvina. On this day, the Deities in the Vrindavana temples are dressed completely in white, reminiscent of the moonlight under which these transcendental pastimes took place.
Krsna lila dramas will be enacted at the temples, and Sri Banke Bihari will hold his flute. Special darshans will be held at many places. In Vrindaban, the vraja vasis leave pots of sweet rice out in the full moon light all night, to turn the sweet rice into amrta.
