Cooking for London Rathayatra

Jul 01, 2011 — UK (SUN) —

The mission this year was to cook a feast for 15,000 people. Titiksu Prabhu is the organiser of the London Rathayatra -- an amazing event with 3 carts. It was Ekadasi, so all the preps were cooked without grains. This year's menu was sabji, mash potato, halava, srikand, and juice.

To give you an idea of the scale of things, we spent £1,000 on paneer and £1,000 on diary produces such as ingredients for srikand and sour cream. Food For All organise the cooking and we had a great turnout of helpers, real community spirit based around Lord Jagannath.

Jai Jagannath!
