Gaura Purnima Festival in Ludhiana

Mar 15, LUDHIANA, INDIA (SUN) — Gaura Purnima festival was ecstatically celebrated by ISKCON Ludhiana. Inspite of rain, a large number of people enthusiastically participated in this maha festival. In the evening, deities Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baldeva and Subhadra and Sri Sri Gaur Nitai were brought to the venue of the festival. Devotees were sweeping the path from where the chariot was to cross.

Harinam sankirtan was recited by Sacidevi dasi mataji from Mumbai and devotees of Vrindavan. People were dancing on mahamantra and there was also Pushp Holi (Flower Holi). The pandal was very beautifully decorated with lights, balloons etc. After aarti of their Lordship there was Panchamrit abhishek of Sri Gaur Nitai.



Chhapan Bhog was offered to Their Lordship. People were seen in queues for darshan of Their Lordship. The festival concluded at about 11 pm, then fasting prashadam was distributed to the people.
