Stopping at the Krishna Temple on the way to the racetrack, a man made this prayer:

"My Lord, I am going to bet on a horse named Vayu to come in first place. If he wins, by Your mercy, I shall gain 10,000 rupees. If you can do this one small favor for me, then I promise I shall give 5,000 rupees donation to your temple here!"

Some time later the man returned, and with folded hands submitted the following to the Krishna Deity:

"My Lord, Vayu came in second, and I won only 5,000 rupees. You didn't trust me? You took out your half first?"
