You Will Go to HELL for Illicit Sex

"Illicit sex life is always forbidden, and any man or woman who indulges in it is punished in the manner described in this verse."
Srimad Bhagavatam 5.26.20 Purport
In these purports, it doesn't say "these hellish punishments for illicit sex aren't applicable for ISKCON devotees". It says "Illicit sex is ALWAYS forbidden". It does NOT say "Illicit sex is always forbidden, unless of course you are an ISKCON devotee, in which case you can have as much illicit sex as you want and just chant Hare Krishna and get free from the sinful reaction". Srila Prabhupada says "any man or woman". That includes ISKCON devotees.
Therefore, it does not matter whether we are a member of ISKCON or not, if we indulge in illicit sex, which is sex for any purpose other than procreation, we will be punished the way this verse is describing. We will be taken to the hellish planet known as Taptasurmi, beaten viciously with whips by the Yamadutas, and then we will be forced to embrace a fire-hot molten iron form of the opposite sex, and being mercilessly tortured like this will make us scream out in agony.
"The Krsna consciousness movement forbids illicit sex. From the description of these verses, we can understand what an extremely sinful act illicit sex is. Sometimes people disbelieve these descriptions of hell, but whether one believes or not, everything must be carried out by the laws of nature, which no one can avoid."

Then it says, "Whether we believe these descriptions or not, it is real, and no one can avoid it". It does NOT say "and no one can avoid it unless you're an ISKCON devotee".
So, to those of us who may want to water down the standard for illicit sex (perhaps to mean "sex just once a month", etc.), we can simply meditate on these descriptions of the hellish punishments. The next time that we think about cheating on our wife with some young bhaktin, better that we simply remember these descriptions of hell and restrain ourselves.
