Why So Vicious?

Jul 18, 2010 — UK (SUN) — I just want to say as briefly as possible that I am very upset by such articles as Chakresvara Goswami posted, viciously criticizing devotees for their attempts to preach. To introduce Krsna Consciousness to the conditioned souls is extremely difficult work and our acaryas have taught that it should be done 'somehow or other.'
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Thakur was prepared to serve meat just to get people to hear the message of Godhead, and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur was prepared to deny the literal meaning of certain parts of the Bhagavata just to get people to hear the pure teachings of the Absolute Truth.
Please tell me what harm is there in the devotees preaching at a new age conference? We all know they are impersonalists, etc. Regarding the article, "Conference Minimizes the Pure Devotee", what does C Goswami expect -- for the devotees to print a huge poster of Srila Prabhupada saying we are now going to give you the truth? Who would come?
I think that his article is vicious and prejudiced and unintelligent and unthoughtful, and I am very sad that this stuff is published. Why are devotees so cruel and unthoughtful? I don't know who C Goswami is, but I don't think he knows about preaching to the western people of this world and how it can be effective.
