Three Times Vatsal was Approached to Hold or Attend a Community Meeting!
BY: HAWAII COMMUNITY OF DEVOTEES
Jun 05, 2011 HONOLULU, HAWAII, USA (SUN) The reason we have not placed our names on this public petition is that there is a history of banning the devotees from coming to the Hawaii Temple. It started in 1973, when a few of us, who stood up for Srila Prabhupada's mission were told to never come back to the temple, after which Srila Prabhupada's and Panchatattwa's temple was secretly sold.
In recent history, even Govinda dasi was banned by Teja Prakash. Also Daiva, Hari, Adi and Sundarananda, all important long-standing members of our community, were issued TRO's due to asking for an accounting of temple funds that were disappearing under Teja Prakash's management. We are not cowards, just cautious due to experience.
When former GBC, Ravindra Swarup refused to do anything about Teja Prakash's illegalities, and his commingling of personal interests with temple funds, we as a community hired a forensic accountant, Dirk Von Guenthner (DirkVonGuenthner.com) who took the case to the Attorney General of Hawaii. Teja finally left Hawaii, as his own lawyer advised him he would go to jail. There was never an accounting done in regard to a loss of over a half million dollars of temple funds.
Now we have a problem that extends far beyond the boundaries of ISKCON Hawaii, which could become greater than the Robin George case.
The reason this petition has become urgently necessary is because recently the FBI sent investigators to our Honolulu temple looking for the minor child, Zion Anderson/Krishnaya, who has been hidden by our Temple President, Peter Corbett/Vatsal and his wife Debra Corbett/Shashikala for nearly two years. The minor child, Zion Anderson /Krishnaya is the biological daughter of Barbara Carol Wallen/Anderson.
A responsible manager would not jeopardize ISKCON. Therefore we are promoting this petition to protect our yatra!
We contacted our GBC and Board of Directors and got no help. Most of our Hawaii ISKCON Board members are running projects abroad or in the USA, for example Svavas das/Emil Beca, who is Los Angeles Temple President and BBT Board member; Kuladri das/Arthur Villa of New Vrindavan, West Virginia; Devamrita Maharaj, New Zealand, Australia; and Vatsal das, who owns a home in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina. The Board members have legal liability.

Corporate directors are responsible for the activities of those running the corporation. If you can insure that our names will not be published, we will reveal our current list of 27 devotees so far. Unfortunately we have learned the only thing that gets results is legal action. [Should the authors wish to provide it, the Sun editors are willing to take receipt of this list and affirm for readers that it has been provided, while keeping the names unpublished and entirely confidential.]
ISKCON Hawaii continues to stay in a constant state of crisis management, so we are again trying to be considerate and give those in positions of authority some time to understand what is going on here so they can do their duty as directors and GBC.
Balaram, Vatsal's son, lives at the temple, does not chant his rounds, does not follow the principles, smokes marijuana, criticizes everyone, abuses and neglects his son, goes into the temple kitchen in his swim trunks to cook for himself and walks out with whatever he makes.
Sundarananda is currently the acting Temple President while Vatsal is on vacation. Balaram has been trying to take over running the temple management from him while his father is away, telling Sundarananda to hand the keys over to him. Sundarananda asked to see the books. Balaram's wife handles the money, but refused to show him. There is also an issue of nepotism.
We have gone to our local GBC and Board of Directors and they say the origin of our problem needs to get settled in court. This is a sad state of affairs, as much laxmi and energy gets wasted and devotees' faith is shattered. We are a group of caring devotees that would like to see our problems handled with love and consideration, internally.
The only recourse available is public exposure in an attempt to activate ISKCON leadership into action. The gruesome matter will be plastered before the press while being dragged through a bloody court battle if the GBC and Board Members do not do their duty. Haven't we learned there are no winners in this sort of dealings, only immense expense?
When the court case closes, the whole matter will be revealed.
Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada,
