I mean you no disrespect Prabhu, however I would like to ask you to read over this article you offered and try to extract the essential point you are trying to make. It is not an easy task.
I would suggest that you now say to us "So...in conlclusion..now that we understand that the world needs a greater number of sincere aspiring devotees to share this wonderful Krsna Consciousness..Srila Prabhupada has guided us to do the following:
Then offer that. Why take a poke at ISKCON for all they are and also for what they are not doing?
I would suggest the readers read carefully Srila Prabhupada's puprort to SB 7:1:25. This puprort illustrates the immeasurable Mercy of Lord Krsna and His impartial spirit in offering it! Then read the 2nd essay of the 5th Chapter of the Science of Self Realization, entitled "The Appearance of Lord Chaitanya. This was actually an address given by our Srila Prabhupada in 1969 - in London as a matter of fact (so Tony Blair can take heart!)!
In the 4th Paragraph of this lecture Srila Prabhupada offered Tony Blair - who was a mere schoolboy at the time - the solution to ALL of Britain's problems; both those that were viewed as pressing then, and those that Mr. Blair views as pressing today. He begins that paragraph with "Therefore in the SB it is said that this is the incarnation of God in this age. And who worships him? The process is very simple....." Read it. It is the most wonderful and simple and inspiring paragraph in the whole book!! And there are many such "paragraphs" in this book prabhu so that speaks a lot about this paragraph!! All of Britains problems solved for them - in 1969!!!!! Wow!
Yes we need the masses to take to Krsna Consciousness. In fact in the CC in the section describing the pure Devtional service of Madhavendra Puri - Srila Prabhupada speaks of the benefits of spreading this wonderful process of Krsna Consciousness, the chanting of the Holy Names of The Divine Couple and the acceptance of Their prasadam as THE MEANS to change the world!
So this is easy to do, provided one has faith in the distribution of Srila Prabhupada's books and the Hare Nama Samkirtan of Lord Chaitnaya.
In Hawaii in 1974 Srila Prabhupada said that if 1% of the world's population became Krsna Conscious - then the world would be like a heavenly planet! And if 10% become Krsna Conscious - "Ah!! It would become like Vaikuntha!".
We agree - it is all in the math!
I only suggest that when you write to suggest that this is what is needed - avoid taking a poke at the efforts of the devotees. Glorify them for all they ARE doing...and commit yourself to assisting Srila Prabhupada and his humble servants in some manner as well.
This will be good for you...and good for those who prosper in their spiritual sojourn by meeting Srila Prabhupada as a direct result of your efforts to serve the samkirtan mission.
