Very Serious Health Failure

Feb 23, MAYAPUR, WEST BENGAL (SUN) — This is general letter to our friends, relatives, godbrothers of my husband, mailing list members and well-wishers. This is the first time I write about my husband's recent health condition. For over 2 weeks I could not gather my thoughts to write any letters due to distress.

My husband's health appears to be in the life-threatening state. It has been like this for at least the past 2,5 weeks. He is experiencing various symptoms and quite a few doctors that have seen him so far cannot agree with each other, so no definite diagnosis has been delivered so far.

In short - his lungs are filled with blood and he is coughing out blood for many days now. Doctors still can't decide what is causing it, although they all agree this is not due to an infections disease, but due to his long standing chronic problems. The main opinions are pointing at heart failure and very enlarged liver and spleen. He also has something going in his abdomen, which isn't diagnosed yet.

We have devotees coming by, giving their association, helping to shop, bringing Ganga water, etc. Jananivasa Prabhu is a shower of mercy. We are also very grateful to Hari Sauri Prabhu for his care and help. Two doctors were very helpful in understanding the problem so far, Bh. Andrey (a surgeon from Kiev) and Radha-raja Prabhu (GP from Switzerland).

Unfortunately, in all the confusion with diagnosis many wrong medications were prescribed... so for now we restricted medication intake to mainly liver-maintenance medicines, that also Ayurvedic ones.

Almost anyone who sees my husband starts to talk about going to a hospital, do proper testing, etc... We are very much aware of Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Bombay and heard many descriptions. We even had one doctor from there trying to diagnose my husband, resulting in mis-prescription.

Right now we are not sure at all how to treat his condition. Prabhu is not at all wanting to go through numerous tests that doctors always want (one is leading to another and getting more complex at each level...). He did the basic required tests in Krishnagar and says that if these aren't enough for a doctor to figure what's wrong, then he is not up to undergoing any more tortures in the name of testing only to hear in the end that his health is bad (he doesn't trust that allopathic medicine can help him).

If the condition is that bad, he simply wishes to stay in Mayapur, breath the air of Mayapur, hear Mayapur birds and cows, and he is asking for devotee association and blessings.

We do need donations too.

I would love to resume this service of delivering Mayapur pictures and videos. Please kindly bless us that my husband's health situation will stabilize enough, so I could gather my energy and carry on with the service.
