ISKCON Dissolve
BY: ANANDA DASI
Dec 10, INDIA (SUN) The ADR or Alternative Confliction Resolution system is a system taught by an Arnold Zack, who is basically a trade union professional. His system of resolving conflicts has enjoyed some mediocre support within the secular world. As with any new system designed by academics, the designer is required to prove its effectiveness by having it applied into various relevant fields in order for it to be accepted into their academic circle. Once the academic is able to gain some acceptance, they can then go on to do the academic circuit and/or the business and private sector circuits, where they will eventually be able to write books, conduct seminars and workshops and if they are lucky, become very rich and famous.
This Zack is a lucky fellow to have recruited and trained Braja Bihari, who is ever eager to introduce any modern system into ISKCON. Braja Bihari knows full well that the GBC will rubberstamp anything they can get their hands on, so long as it will aid in subverting the teachings and practice of Krishna Consciousness that Srila Prabhupada has given us.
Now with the help of Zack, Braja Bihari is also enjoying some form of kudos, not only amongst the ISKCON elite and their sycophants but now also amongst the secular sector, as he too, goes on preaching missions for his mentor, Zack.
Zack proudly cites his disciple, Braja Bihari, at seminars as being the one to introduce his system into ISKCON and now he hopes to have his ADR system universally applied in ISKCON.
Zack believes that ISKCON, not like any other Religious group, is amenable to his system due to the fact that there is no centralization of management.
It is obvious that Zack's little sycophant is not telling him the whole truth here. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Braja Bihari, Gopal Bhatta and their colleagues, ISKCON is now very nicely centralized. So it is not due to this fact, it is more due to the fact that the GBC is more than willing to have Braja Bihari corrupt ISKCON, and gives him extremely wide discretionary powers to do so.
Braja Bihari is very busy trying to tie all of us little sticks into one big bundle so that we will be nice and strong in working together to help him corrupt ISKCON. However, not all of the sticks that he is trying to pick up will be tied into his bundle. Some of us can see what is happening. We can see that Zack does not quote actual figures on the effectiveness of his ADR program inside and outside of ISKCON. All he waffles on about is how effective he has been in spreading it to the management of various bodies and agencies who have understood that it is a very effective tool to control their members.
There is a reason why other Religious Groups have not been interested in this ADR system. Like all Trade Unions, they allegedly give more power to the workers, but in reality they are more effective as tools for the owners, government or politicians who desire to spread their control and manipulation into the populace.
While this system may be an effective way to control secular systems, it is not meant for a Religious Organization. Many devotees are now beginning to see that this ADR system is not really being used as a tool to help the average devotee; they are seeing it as a tool to confuse and give false hope to them instead, while it really acts to protect the management.
The question must be asked: why is the ISKCON leadership so eager to adopt western academic methods and systems instead of perfecting the system that Srila Prabhupada has given? Why have they lost faith? Or maybe we must ask, did they ever had any faith to begin with?
Spiritual faith does not come from the application of mundane methodologies. It comes from implementing what Srila Prabhupada has given us and seeing it work. How can we see this when our leaders have no faith in spiritual practices, and only have faith in mundane business systems?
Devotees are not resources to be molded and manipulated to make us fit into the plans of materialists. Srila Prabhupada wanted us to become independently intelligent and to have faith in him and his teachings, not the teaching of gross materialists like Zack and Braja Bihari.
