History and Hridayananda
BY: GADADHAR DAS
Nov 08, DALLAS, TEXAS, USA (SUN) I want to state the following in regards to the Hridayananda matter:
Tamal Krishna Goswami told me in Dallas in the late 80s that Hridayananda is on his way out, and Badri wants to resign from the GBC. I think this was said in frustration, that ISKCON leaders were falling apart and ISKCON was facing problems on many fronts at the time - Kirtanananda, Robin George case, Lawsuit in Boston, abused children started speaking out, and in Dallas, one devotee was sentenced to 40 year in prison for abusing children.
In the case of the three Dallas lawsuits, which were filed in late 80s, I was lied to and told that there was only one lawsuit. I attended several meetings in regard to what to do. In one meeting, Tamal Krishna said he has a letter from the abuser, written few years back, stating that he himself had been abused. However, Tamal Krishna had let him continue as a teacher in the Dallas Gurukul even after reading this letter.
Tamal Krishna also told me that during a GBC and Temple Presidents meeting in Berkeley that the temple there had 20 or so houses, and Hridayananda sold most of them. He pointed out to me the houses around the temple. Tamal Krishna's point was that Hridayananda had destroyed the health and wealth of the Berkeley Temple. Of course by that time, Tamal Krishna had destroyed the health and wealth of Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, and Houston Temples, and the 1,400 acre Oklahoma Farm was gone, too.
Tamal Krishna played the role of a leading gang member in their evil empire, and he trained the gang in all kinds of deceitful tactics. The same old game of deceit and cover-up continues by the gang of GBCs, Gurus, and their bait and switch henchmen and henchwomen.
I hope this adds a few more details.
Wishing All of You Well,
