Attached to Being Demons

Sep 03, 2010 — AUSTRIA (SUN) — Some demons just never change…

Vaisnava Dharma is maintained in the material world by the system of disciplic succession as described in the Vedas. The demoniac see this central pivot and consider that if the disciplic succession is destroyed, then Vaisnava Dharma will also be destroyed. After the departure of Srila Prabhupada, it is evident that the demoniac have mistakenly sensed an opportunity and demonically attacked the divine disciplic succession from all angles.

Demons Attempt to Destroy Disciplic Succession

First, we had the GBC rubber-stamped diksa-guru. Despite the depravity of this initial eleven we see the GBC continue to this very day with the same idea, the GBC rubber-stamped highly institutionalized and regulated ‘guru'. Bogus along with all the concocted bureaucracy that goes along with such disobedience.

Second, we have as a reaction to the GBC rubber-stamped failures, the posthumous initiation proponents, (PIPs). One word in a secretary's letter set against the whole Vedic literature – how ridiculous. Idiotically Bogus.

Now, straggling in at fourth, we have two black peas in a pod, George Smith and Harakumara. Cutting to the chase, what they are basically saying is that ‘the Vaisnava Diksa Samskara is something that you don't have to take, really, really'. Of course they don't have the honesty and clarity to actually come out and state that idea, but it is plain to see from their pathetic word-jugglery. George likes this ‘no-diksa' idea because he's never been initiated – sour grapes. And Harakumara likes this idea, because he's a PIP. He has to run down the Sastric Vaisnava Diksa Samskara, so that he can push his posthumous initiation nonsense, under the cover that the whole diksa-samskara is not an important ‘thing' to do, so why bother about the fact that the PIP dream-initiation is a completely banal concoction.

Importance of Initiation Irrefutable

Well, quoting Srila Prabhupada's purports, here is the importance of the Vaisnava Diksa Samskara in no uncertain terms:

Srila Jiva Gosvami explains diksa in his Bhakti-sandarbha (283):

divyam jnanam yato dadyat kuryat papasya sanksayam
tasmat dikseti sa prokta desikais tattva-kovidaih

"Diksa is the process by which one can awaken his transcendental knowledge and vanquish all reactions caused by sinful activity. A person expert in the study of the revealed scriptures knows this process as diksa."

The regulative principles of diksa are explained in the Hari-bhakti-vilasa (2.3–4) and the Bhakti-sandarbha (283). As stated:

    dvijanam anupetanam svakarmadhyayanadisu
    yathadhikaro nastiha syac copanayanad anu
    tathatradiksitanam tu mantra-devarcanadisu
nadhikaro ‘sty atah kuryad atmanam siva-samstutam

"Even though born in a brahmana family, one cannot engage in Vedic rituals without being initiated and having a sacred thread. Although born in a brahmana family, one becomes a brahmana only after initiation and the sacred thread ceremony. Unless one is initiated as a brahmana, one cannot worship the holy name properly."

According to the Vaisnava regulative principles, one must be initiated as a brahmana. The Hari-bhakti-vilasa (2.6) quotes the following injunction from the Visnu-yamala:

    adiksitasya vamoru krtam sarvam nirarthakam
    pasu-yonim avapnoti diksa-virahito janah

"‘Unless one is initiated by a bona fide spiritual master, all his devotional activities are useless. A person who is not properly initiated can descend again into the animal species.'"

Hari-bhakti-vilasa (2.10) further quotes:

ato gurum pranamyaivam sarva-svam vinivedya ca
    grhniyad vaisnavam mantram diksa-purvam vidhanatah
"‘It is the duty of every human being to surrender to a bona fide spiritual master. Giving him everything—body, mind and intelligence—one must take Vaisnava initiation from him.'"

Conclusion

The demoniac can never be persuaded to follow the clear and established Diksa Samskara of Vaisnava Dharma. They should be neglected, as all demons should be, however at the same time, the ridiculous nature of their concoctions should be exposed as a service to human society.

Those fools and rascals that do not accept but madly argue against the Vaisnava Diksa Samskara will achieve nothing, only condemnation by the Supreme Lord:

    yah sastra-vidhim utsrya
    vartate kama-karatah
    na sa siddhim avapnoti
    na sukham na param gatim

"He who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his own whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the supreme destination." (Bhagavad-gita 16.23)
