The Last Conversation: A GBC Position Paper on B.V. Narayana Maharaja

Apr 05, CANADA (SUN) — Following is a PDF document released by the GBC Executive Committee on March 24, 2010. The presentation begins with a cover letter from the GBC Executive Committee, followed by part one of the paper, entitled "Conversation Between Srila Prabhupada and H.H. Narayana Maharaja—Vrindavan, October 8, 1977. This includes a transcript of the audio recording of that conversation in Bengali, with English translation.
The second part of the paper, entitled "The Last Conversation," is an analysis of the October 8, 1977 conversation. As the Executive Committee states, the conclusion of their presentation is:
"The GBC remains firmly convinced that Narayana Maharaja persistently misrepresents Srila Prabhupada by claiming that Prabhupada, on his last day, entrusted in Narayana Maharaja special directions to assume a unique, ongoing role in the spiritual leadership of ISKCON. The attached documents present our considered response to that claim."
