Jaya Keshava prabhu, Where do I Sign Up?

BY: KISHORI DEVI DASI

Apr 23, USA (SUN) — For the twenty odd years that I have been a devotee it has never ceased to amaze me how thick skinned and shameless some devotees are. Bhurijan is a classic example of this. Pragosh is also displaying how shameless he is as the editor of Dandavats, where he is continuing to post Bhurijan's 'red herring' articles.

I think that it is also interesting to note Bhurijan's last posting on Dandavats, "Best Business at the Bank." I wonder how he gets his money? He and his wife do a lot of traveling and I suppose he had to put his kids through some sort of college schooling, for the schools he was responsible for would have ruined their chances of getting a job in the karmi world. I suppose the 'guru' business has good enough returns for that and more!

When you see how connected these devotees are you can clearly see what a serious case of Cronyism we have in ISKCON. After reading the letters on Gauri das I was wondering how come he is being so protected? Usually if someone has incurred so much bad publicity and is as guilty as this Gauri das is, then the institution usually kicks them out to avoid more bad publicity and public disgrace.

But here we are seeing two major factors being played out. The first being that they have promoted him to remove him from the Vrindavan Gurukula which was the place he committed his crimes. Promotion as opposed to demotion is usually for services rendered. Secondly, this begs the question on what services Gauri das has rendered that warrant a high profile job with a fully loaded reimbursement package and an incredible immunity bonus? He must be privy to some serious crimes by these devotees and their colleagues, who are protecting him.

The length that they are going to protect him is incredible when it is clear that he is guilty. He proclaims his innocence, the Bhaktivedanta Manor Authorities are claiming his innocence, even though they have all the evidence of his crimes before them. Pragosh as the GBC is protecting him and you really have to wonder why? Tamohara the head of the international Child Protection Agency is protecting him as well. BY THE WAY, WHERE IS THIS TAMOHARA?

If I was to slap a child at a Sunday feast they would ban me, and it would be almost impossible for me to apply for any position at the Manor, so how can they justify this? Obviously he has something on them.

Getting back around to Bhurijan. He is the main man here. Pragosh is supporting him even though he knows this man's history. Instead of distancing himself from him he quickly posts another piece of 'squid ink'. This show of solidarity is nothing short of repulsive to say the least and shows Pragosh's true colours!

That short list of devotees that was published by Jaya Kesava dasa makes it clear who is involved in all of this cronyism. Are they really this shameless? Who are they really fooling? Not us, that is for sure.

Actually, I only wrote in after hearing the story of Jambavati dd and her son. To think that one family of innocent struggling devotees is suffering due to these people is unbelievable! Are we as a movement so numb and apathetic that we just let them get away with this? I did some checking and sure enough, the names on Jaya Kesava's short list also are many of the faces at the GBC meetings and the ones who run all the departments that are meant for us! Not to protect them, but us. The Child Protection Office is here to protect the children, not the abusers! Nothing has changed at all. ISKCON has just become more professional at covering up for the very same criminals who have maintained this abusive mentality for all these years.

Jambavati's son needs them to protect him, to listen to him, to listen to her, his mother. But who is there to do that? Braja Bihari? He is Bhurijan's senior-most disciple!

If you are reading this letter, Jambavati's son, please know that there are many devotees that care about you. Don't worry about what the teachers at the school did and what the principal didn't do and what the CPT didn't do or even what the Ombudsman's Office didn't do. We care about you and understand what is happening to you. Your healing unfortunately will not come from them, so don't wait for it from them. Please understand that a true Vaisnava will never act like that with you. They act from the heart and with love. These people are not true Vaisnavas. Please don't grow up with the misunderstanding that they are! They are 'a blot on the landscape' of Vaisnavism.

Getting back again to Bhurijan. So the Gurukuls are still the place of suffering for so many parents and children. He is still here and so are his disciples and the other cronies. Nothing has changed, has it? We as a movement did not learn one thing after the child abuse of the past. So much has happened and we are still glorifying the very same devotees who have caused all of this trouble.

I join the ranks of devotees who are standing up to this filth in our movement. I want to give my support to the short list and demand that they are made to suffer consequences. Force them to resign and take up Book Distribution! I am not going to leave this movement as some devotees suggest. This is my movement and not theirs. This is Jamabvati's son's movement. He is our future, not them! They are criminals and they need to be punished and not glorified!

I have amended the list, if it pleases Jaya Kesava prabhu:

    Anuttama das
    Anandavrindavan dd (aka Vrindavaneswari)
    Bhaktividyapurna Swami
    Bhavananda das (Mayapur project)
