Calling All Goloka-Envy-Fallvadis!

BY: ACARYAVILASA DASA

Mar 31, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (SUN) — Dear Goloka-Envy-Fallvadis – Gauragopala dasa, Bahushira dasa, Rupanuga dasa, Nandanandana dasa, Ravindra Svarupa dasa, Drutakarma dasa Kailasa Candra dasa, Bhakta Eric, Hrdyananda Goswami – take this as a great invitation. We have seen your postings replete with quotes and extrapolations. However, it occurs that you have never actually expounded the details of your concepts. We know that you believe that you were once in Goloka-Vrndavana and that through envy of Sri Krsna's position as Supreme Lord, you have fallen to the cycle of birth and death in the material world. Therefore you are called Goloka-Envy-Fallvadis. However these details are very sketchy and not comprehensive. So in this post, we request you to fill in the details. But most importantly, we want Vedas, sruti or smrti, to back up your ideas.

To guide your Goloka-Envy-Fall exposition, we provide a series of questions:

    (1) Were you in Goloka-Vrndavana prior to your fall to material conditioning?

    (2) If not from Goloka-Vrndavana, then from where did you fall?

    (3) Prior to your fall from Goloka, or wherever, were you situated in krsna-prema?

    (4) Prior to your fall, was your svarupa, intrinsic constitutional form, fully manifest as a servant, cowherd boy, elder, or conjugal lover in Goloka? Note: We don't want to know what your particular svarupa is – just if it was manifest and fully functional for krsna-lila.

    (5) Why did you become envious of Sri Krsna as the Supreme Lord?

    (6) Were you envious of anyone else, besides Sri Krsna?

    (7) Was the envy, material or spiritual?

    (8) If envy was not the cause, then which emotion was it?

    (9) Kindly explain how mundane envy can enter the spiritual realm?

    (10) Can the material energy enter the spiritual realm?

    (11) Once you have entered the material realm, where is the krsna-prema? Is it withdrawn within the soul? Is it still fully active? Is it fully active or covered?

    (12) Does the material energy cover fully-active krsna-prema?

    (13) Which is superior, krsna-prema or the material energy?

    (14) When you chant Hare Krsna, does your krsna-prema start from the zero percentage point and increase, or is it at one hundred per cent active and just uncovered by the chanting?

    (15) When you go back to Goloka, will you have the same service as before, or a new one?

    (16) When you were in the material world, who was doing your service in Goloka?

    (17) When you return to Goloka, will the devotee doing your service do a different service, or will you share, in case that devotee becomes envious and also falls to the material world?

    (18) While you were in the material world, were you missed in Goloka?

    (19) When you return to Goloka will you remember the material world?

    (20) When you return to Goloka is there a chance that you could return to the cycle of birth and death in the material world?

    (21) When you return to Goloka, having been in the material world, is there a chance you might influence others to become envious and thus fall to the material world?

Special Dreamvadi Section: This section of questions is for those Goloka-Envy-Fallvadis, Gauragopala dasa, Bahushira dasa and Ravindra Svarupa dasa, who consider that they don't fall from Goloka Vrndavana, but rather just dream they are in the material world while remaining in Goloka.

    (22) Are you, the soul, completely in Goloka, while you are in the material realm?

    (23) Are you, the soul, completely in the material realm?

    (24) Are you partly in Goloka and partly in the material realm?

    (25) If partly here and there, then what part is in Goloka, and what is in the material realm?

    (26) Are you sleeping on a bed in Goloka and dreaming you are in the material world?

    (27) Are you not sleeping on a bed, but on a bed day-dreaming you are in the material world?

    (28) Are you day-dreaming of being in the material world while doing your service in krsna-lila? For example, dancing with Krsna?

    (29) Are you sleep-walking in Goloka, while dreaming you are in material world?

    (30) Does your dreaming of being in the material world affect your service in krsna-lila?

    (31) Are all the souls dreaming of being in the material world gathered together in one particular area of Goloka, or are they spread all over Goloka?

    (32) Is it possible that the material dreaming souls could influence the pure devotees in Goloka to also day-dream or sleep-dream of material life?

    (33) Is it possible that the devotees in Goloka not materially dreaming might accidentally wake up the materially dreaming souls in Goloka?

    (34) If a materially dreaming soul wakes up, accidentally or otherwise, then how does that sudden waking up in Goloka affect his activities in the material world? For example, if a soul is dreaming he is driving a car in the material world and wakes up from his dream in Goloka, then does the car crash, or whatever?

    (35) How is it possible to experience material birth while in Goloka?

    (36) How is it possible to experience material activities while in Goloka?

    (37) How is it possible to experience material emotion while in Goloka?

    (38) How is it possible to experience the material time factor while in Goloka?

    (39) Do you wake up from your material dream in Goloka before or after you die in the material dream?

    (40) The Mayavadi conception is "brahma-satyam, jagat mithya", Brahman is Truth, this material world is false. Your Goloka-dreamvadi concept is "Goloka-dreaming, jagat-mithya", or Goloka-dreaming, material world I'm not really here just dreaming, kindly explain how it is different from basic mayavadi philosophy.

So dear Goloka-Envy-Fallvadis, of whatever variety, we are most interested to hear the details of your various ideas. Especially, we would like some Vedas, sruti or smrti on these points. We would especially appreciate a reference from the Vedas, sruti or smrti, that describes in detail the scenario of krsna-prema devotees in Goloka becoming envious of Sri Krsna.

And that leads us to our final questions:

    (41) If you cannot provide from the sruti and smrti, a detailed scenario of krsna-prema devotees becoming envious of Sri Krsna in Goloka, and dreaming or whatever, which according to you happens eternally to zillions of jivas, then why is it not mentioned in the sruti and smrti?

    (42) In the Brahma-Samhita, 5.56, it is stated:

"…where there is eternal existence of transcendental time, who is ever present and without past or future and hence is not subject to the quality of passing away even for the space of half a moment."

Therefore, if you are envious in Goloka, that moment will be ever present, so will you not be ever-envious in Goloka?

The Vaisnava world awaits the details of your philosophy. Kindly give concise answers to the questions above. And don't forget the Vedas, sruti or smrti.

Aum Tat Sat
