Proof of Lies

Margaret Conners has asked for proof that ISKCON shelters child abusers.
Well... here it is, Margaret.
Come on over to Bhaktivedanta Manor and meet Gauri das.
Living, walking, talking, right there flesh and blood, in your face proof.
His case is clearly documented.
Many years ago as a parent of one of the children in Gauri das's Vrindavana ashram,
I directly confronted Gauri das face to face about the abuse in the Vrindavan gurukula.
That discussion took place in the Gurukula building in Vrindavana.
Gauri das assured me he had been thoroughly investigated by ISKCON and was given an all clear.
However I took the time and trouble to look a little further.
I found a copy of the 1995 official report,
After contacting some of Gauri das's former now grown-up pupils, they (his former pupils) pointed out numerous discrepancies.
The most damning and obvious one being the child who produced photographic evidence of a beating, but who was never interviewed.
Gauri das was publicly challenged by a newspaper reporter about abuse in his ashram.
He replied that it was "baseless allegations".
Eventually 17 of Gauri das's former students filled a complaint with the ISKCON Child Protection Office.
According to a letter from the Gurukuli spokesman, Sanaka Rsi prabhu,
The CPO were anything but helpful.
I also know the ISKCON CPO was receiving funding from Bhaktivedanta Manor, the President of whom was Gauri das.

During this CPO investigation Gauri das was never suspended from his position as Temple President of Bhaktivedanta Manor.
Gauri das used all of ISKCON's facilities to fight his case.

Sivarama Swami, former GBC of ISKCON UK.
Sivarama Swami is a regular collector here in the UK. Many of the Bhaktivedanta Manor management are his disciples.
Praghosa das, our present GBC:
On a separate occasion when Gauri das was caught lying, Praghosa das's response was
"Yes, but is he intentionally lying?"

However…
the CPO decision went in favour of the Gurukulis.
Gauri das was shown to be a proven liar.
Gauri das was subsequently removed from his position of Temple President.
As part of the CPO decision, Gauri das was not to publicly represent ISKCON for 3 years.
However… contrary to ISKCON LAW,
Gauri das was secretly re-employed with the knowledge of the GBC, Praghosa das.
Gauri das was spotted by a sharp newspaper reporter in February 2009 publicly representing ISKCON.
It was only then the Bhaktivedanta Manor management admitted Gauri das was employed by them, however they would not say in what capacity or how much he was being paid.
All of this was going on while the temple community representative was trying unsuccessfully to find out this same information.
So far... I am unaware of a single member of any of our ISKCON management raising a murmur of concern.
Should Margaret wish to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor and meet Gauri das,
or take the time to read any of his victims testimonies.
I would in normal circumstances be happy to oblige.
However…
because I helped Gauri das's victims, I have been permanently banned from my Guru's temple.
Not to worry…
Gauri das is still there.
