Akshaya Patra Embraces Mayavada & Promotes Meat Eating for Money

Nov 29, 2011 — INDIA (SUBURBAN) — It seems that Akshaya Patra will do anything for money. Doesn't matter if it comes from selling chicken meat or at the cost of sacrificing Srila Prabhupada's teaching and embracing the lotus feet of Mayavadis.

Recently Madhu Pandit das and Chanchalapati das of ISKCON Bangalore accepted siksha from Murari Bapu, and are now promoting him as the face of Akshaya Patra. They organized a program for Akshaya Patra, with Murari Bapu as the heart and soul of their programs in London and Kolkata.

Akshaya Patra spent 2 crores of rupees in organizing the Ram Katha by Murarai Bapu in Kolkata itself, and for last 21 days, all the leading newspapers have contained the advertisement for the Ram Katha by Murarai Bapu.

For all these 9 days Katha, from 21st November to 29th November 2011, so-called devotees of ISKCON Bangalore humbly and publicly served and glorified Murarai Bapu. Chanchalapati das himself took the lead and publicly paid dandavats to Murarai Bapu, attentively and submissively hearing his Ram Katha, in which Murari Bapu glorified Ramkrishna, Paramhamsa, Swami Vivekananda and other Mayavadis.

On their website, Akshaya Patra has put Murarai Bapu's pictures, and in all their brochures and pamphlets, they have put pictures and praise of Murarai Bapu.

They have become so much blinded by money that they are now even accepting donations from the sale of chicken curries, as noted in this Telegraph of India news story.

The meat-eating contributions are being generated for Akshaya Patra by Iranian-born Bharat Saxena, whose company, Anaarkali, is selling a two-person serving of the curry, laced with real gold and silver foil, for Rs. 6,000. As Saxena says, "In India, people are ready to pay any price for quality and a good cause".

While Anaarkali is now selling their pricey chicken dish publicly, as of December 1st, all proceeds from the sale of the butter chicken will go directly to Akshaya Patra: "Those wishing to get a taste will have to pay the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an organisation that provides free meals to the poor." Only Rs 1 lakh gets you dinner for four, and a plate full of bad karma for dessert.

Anaarkali.in's website touts their charitable efforts on Akshaya Patra's behalf here.
