CENTRAL FLORIDA FALL HARVEST ANN PEANUT FESTIVAL
Join us on Saturday, October 1st at the Williston Peanut Festival. Camp Garuda will sponsor Srila Prabhupada's Book Table, Kirtan and Preaching. Over 6,000 expected at this event. 9:00am to 4:00pm, downtown Williston, Main Street.
PREACHING TO THE INMATES by Lalita devi dasi
Our dear Spiritual Master, Srila Prabhupada, wrote in his preface to the Bhagavad-gita As It Is: "Everyone should know how God or Krishna is great, and everyone should know the position of the living entities." Through our various programs here at Camp Garuda we try to spread the awareness of God, Krishna.
One of our newest endeavors is a program that works alongside the Prison Ministry in Alachua to carry the message of the Holy Name into the correctional institutions of Levy County. We believe it our duty to give these fallen souls the message of Srila Prabhupada through his books, japa chanting and personal contact.
I will close by again quoting Srila Prabhupada's preface; "We hope, therefore, that people will derive the greatest benefit by studying the Bhagvad-gita As It Is, as we have presented it here, and if even one man or woman becomes a pure devotee of the Lord we shall consider our attempt a success."
Anyone interested in participating in this program please contact me or my husband, Baladeva das at (352) 262-1145. Hare Krishna!
