The release of "Hey Krishna" (Krishna Aur Kans in India) worldwide on August 3rd - as in "most major cities of the world". It's timed for Janmastami. This is India's first stereographic 3-D animated feature ever - and it's based entirely on Srila Prabhupada's Krsna Book.

Let us not fail to take advantage of the international release of this movie in order to maximize the distribution of Prabhupada's Krsna Book! We are the "go-to" people regarding Krishna; let's live up to the expectation! Otherwise, the public will get the books about Krishna from impersonalists/mayavadis.

Srila Prabhupada in the Preface: "....by reading this one book, Krsna, love of Godhead will fructify."

Of course, he also thanks George Harrison for funding the book. (Shyamasundar prabhu has a funny story about how George finally agreed; write me if you're interested.)

For your information, the already released 2-D TV series, "Little Krishna" (by the same producer) is the #1 most popular children's show in Turkey! It's also very popular in Brasil, Indonesia, and other unexpected places.

(For those who know some of the history of "Little Krishna," rest assured, this FEATURE animated film has nothing to do with Madhu Pandit das, who had given the seed money for the TV series - not this FEATURE film - but ABANDONED the television series project early in its development.)

All ISKCON temples can obtain promotional posters and other paraphernalia from Reliance. Pratik M. Shah will arrange for it to be supplied. Along with those materials, we can distribute order forms for the Krsna Book.

In India, there is a large volume of the BBT's edition of the "Krsna" Books for children. These were written and produced in cooperation with the BBT by Parvati devi dasi (example attached). Contact Bhima prabhu to obtain sets if there aren't enough of Srila Prabhupada's originals in print, or you want to cater also to parents of young kids in this condensed format.

The movie was screened for myself twice, the devotees of Juhu and Chowpatty, HH Radhanath Swami, etc., and it has gotten five star reviews from nearly everyone. If the film is financially successful, the producer will be able to fulfill his desire to do Krishna's pastimes in Dwarka for the next one. Let us support him in his desire to popularize Krishna all around the world.

Reliance nearly shut down this first film twice due to budgetary considerations. We have a stake in helping to make the film a financial windfall. The more people hear about Krishna, the more they will turn to our temples and books for more information.

Your feedback regarding the participation that you can offer is very important, because Reliance is willing to credit ISKCON, the BBT, etc., in the film credits assuming that we participate. That kind of publicity is priceless, what to speak of the potential in book sales.
