BY: BHAGAVAT DHARMA DASA
May 12, 2010 ABENTHEUR, GERMANY (SUN) ISKCON Goloka Dhama Newsletter, May 2010.
Isthagoshti
We hope this meets you in good health. As already announced in the past Newsletters, we are now regularly holding a weekly Isthagoshti every Tuesday at 5 p.m. The meetings comprise a reading of Srila Prabhupada's books and discussions about our service to their Lordships, Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan. These meetings are very inspiring and we like to invite every one to take part in it. If any of you has a point to be discussed, feel free to contact me or Mataji Mitravrnda devi, who is organising our Isthagosthis.
One of our congregational members told me that since the meeting is during the week, she could not take part in it. Therefore, we thought that we will arrange a lager meeting on Saturday, June 12th at 3 p.m. for those of you who like to come. On that day we would mainly like to concentrate on planning the Sri Krsna-Janmastami festival, cultural programs and Harinam-Sankirtan. Your ideas for a more beautiful Janmastami are welcome. Last but not least: Parivadi Prabhu will present an important modification on the official articles of our association, "Goloka Dhama Verein e.V." (Vereinssatzung). Your presence is appreciated. Please come and be updated about the progress of our Project.
Krsna's Flower Garden
Our dear devotee Mataji Mitravrnda devi has accepted the service of planting organic flowers for the Deities. She has already invested a lot of time and energy so that we can produce our own flowers. She would like to invite you to give her some assistance. Saturday, May 15th starting at 11:00 a.m. We will take care that Maha Prasadam of Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan will be available as a reward.
If you like to give some donation for this purpose, please do it now and mention "flower garden" as the reason of your transfer. Our bank details as follows:
Goloka Dhama e.V., Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe eG BLZ 56061472

Saturday Bhajans
Our congregational devotees have started a nice Bhajan Program. Every Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by Gaura arati, Narasimha prayers and a reading from the Bhagavad-gita. Please come and join in the nectarian ocean of the Holy Names.
Nrsimha Caturdasi Festival
On Wednesday, May 26th, we are celebrating Sri Narasimha's Appearance day at the Simahchalam Farm. We would like to invite you to this beautiful event. Many great souls and spiritual masters will be present and a great spiritual inspiration is awaiting you there. For more info please visit our website.
Those of you who cannot come there can celebrate in a small festival at Goloka Dhama, with bhajans and a beautiful abhisekha ceremony to the merciful "Karuna-Nrsimha".
With kind regards,
Bhagavat Dharma dasa
PS: Here is an inspiring verse from Srimad Bhagavatam 3.25.25 for your meditation:
satam prasangam mama virya-samvido
bhavanti hrt-karna-rasayanah katha
taj-josanad asv apavarga-vartmani
sraddha ratir bhaktir anukramisyati
"In the association of pure devotees, discussion of the pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and to the heart. By cultivating such knowledge one gradually becomes advanced on the path of liberation, and thereafter he is freed, and his attraction becomes fixed. Then real devotion and devotional service begin."
