Mar 04, 2011 MUMBAI, INDIA (EXPRESS NEWS SVC) Shri Jagath Guru Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati, president and patron of Akhil Bharatiya Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Puroddhar Samiti which has been fighting the Ayodhya case in courts, has promised to build a new temple at Ayodhya similar to the temples erected by the Chalukya Kings in Cambodia.
Addressing the media here on Thursday night, the seer vowed that once his organisation got the land at Ayodhya, a temple similar to the temples erected by the Chalukya Kings in Cambodia would be constructed there.
"It will become the most beautiful and incredible architectural temple in the world," he said.
Terming the decision to divide the disputed Ayodhya land as inappropriate, he said an appeal against the same had already been filed in the Supreme Court by the Puroddhar Samiti.
He said it had been mainly established on the basis of history books, traveller accounts and public records of unimpeachable authority that the premise in dispute was the place where Lord Vishnu was re-incarnated as Lord Ram.
"Ashtam Ram Janmabhoomi is an indestructible and unmovable deity, who has continued to exist throughout the ages.
"By just getting darshan of the Ram Janmabhoomi, a person attains salvation. A visit to Ayodhya temple is equivalent to visiting all the tirthas, doing the Rajsuya Yagna and gifting Kaplila cows," he said.
