Your Sun editors were appalled today to discover that we had inadvertently published a YouTube video in the body of an article that contained offensive criticism of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. We immediately deleted the video links and the content of the articles related to the videos. We can only offer our abject apologies for this mistake, and our thanks to the several readers who called it to our attention.
The material in question is related to two recent articles by Jaya Narayana dasa. The first article, entitled "Hanuman ex-Swami on H.H. Gopal Krishna Swami" contained a long video presentation made by Henri Jolicoeur, aka Hanuman ex-swami. This video had been submitted to us by dozens of readers, but Jaya Narayana was to first to take the time to write an article about it, so we published it. We watched a good portion of that video, and heard nothing that we hadn't already heard years before from Gopal Krishna's unhappy ex-wife.
Jaya Narayana das's second article, "Goodbye Bhaktipada" focused primarily on Kirtanananda, his infamous pastimes and impending departure. The second half of that article referred to another video made by Henri/Hanuman, this one about homosexuality in ISKCON.
Pressed for time, and assuming the video was in the same vein as the first, we didn't watch it before posting it. A mistake we are now very sorry to have made. We won't repeat Hanuman's comments here, except to say that they are highly offensive, asiddhantic, and 100% wrong. For Jaya Narayana's part, he explained that he heard the term "homophobic", but didn't understand it to mean what it actually does mean today.
We encourage our readers to take great care when listening to the so-called 'preaching' or hypno-psycho teachings of Henri (Henry) Jolicoeur, Hanuman ex-swami, at least until such time as he recants his offensive remarks and offers a philosophical explanation as to how he made such a mistake.
For our part, we can only apologize again, with straw in teeth, and work more diligently in future.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
