The Confidential Agreement

BY: MAHAVIDYA DAS (ACBSP)

Aug 17, 2011 — UK (SUN) — …or The Letter I hoped I would never have to write.

In an effort to stave off ongoing allegations and criticisms involving but not limited to the cover-up of child abuse, financial fraud and the sale of alcohol by Hare Krsna members, ISKCON UK's Bhaktivedanta Manor has put into black and white it's strategy for dealing with it's growing tide of dissenters.
In a move worthy of any worldwide repressive regime, ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Manor has produced the following document that ISKCON members are being intimidated to sign.
We have always been most painfully aware of the self same policy existing unofficially since the Zonal Acarya days...
However, The senior management here at Bhaktivedanta Manor have now made fear and intimidation part of it's official policy.
That document exists in a black and white format… you can read it here (in PDF): Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4, Page 5, Page 6

While the document entitled 'Confidentiality Agreement' speaks for itself, I would wish to draw the reader's attention to several of the following paragraphs:

    Confidentiality Agreement

"5. You shall not, except as authorised by the senior management council of Bhaktivedanta Manor (details of whom can be obtained from the Temple President of the Manor), use for your own benefit or gain or divulge to any persons, firms, companies or other organizations whatsoever any confidential information belonging to Bhaktivedanta Manor or relating to the Temple's affairs or dealings which may come to your knowledge during your employment or work done for the Manor as a volunteer. This restriction shall cease to apply to any information or knowledge which may subsequently come into the public domain other than in breach of this clause.

    7. Confidential information shall include all information which has been specifically designated as confidential by Bhaktivedanta Manor and any information which relates to the business, dealings, practice, accounts, finances, trading, software, know-how, affairs of the practice, or any other commercial, legal, and financial activities of Bhaktivedanta Manor or designated clients, the unauthorized disclosure of which would embarrass, harm, prejudice or bring into disrepute Bhaktivedanta Manor or its clients.

    8. You will not at any lime during your work for the Manor (except as so far as is necessary acting in the course of your employment or as authorised) or afterwards, disclose to any person any information as to the business, dealings, practice, accounts, finances, trading, software, know-how, affairs of Bhaktivedanta Manor or of any of Bhaktivedanta Manor's clients or prospective clients, distributors, firms or companies otherwise connected with the business of Bhaktivedanta Manor. Bhaktivedanta Manor considers unauthorised disclosure of client confidential information would constitute a very serious disciplinary offence for which you may be dismissed i f you are employed or asked by the Authorities not to undertake any further work for the Manor. The Manor by decision of the senior Management could ban you from coming to the Manor. Further should you breach this clause the Manor reserves its right to take legal action against you."

To cut a long story short... anyone connected to ISKCON UK's Bhaktivedanta Manor who dares to question the integrity of the "senior management" can be banned.

Let us for a moment reflect on just who "senior management" refers to…

    Praghosa das -- GBC
Sruti dharma das -- Temple President
Prana bhandu das -- Financial Controller
    Shyamasundara das – Department Head
    Gadadhara das -- Head Pujari
    Kripamoya das -- ISKCON Guru

(All of the above were involved with the secret reinstatement of a known ISKCON child abuser, several of them were involved in the cover-up of financial irregularities…
what to speak of gross profiteering at ISKCON's expense
documentation can be provided on request.) In fact... within the parameters of the given document, the list could expand to include virtually anyone the "senior management" wish to include...
Gauri das...
ISKCON consultant, former Temple President and member of the Bhaktivedanta Manor visionary team...
seller of alcohol, Akhandadhi das...
what to speak of visiting Gurus... Radhanatha Swami (of New Vrindavan infamy)...
Indradumna swami (dedicated photographer), Sivarama Swami...
anyone at all.
So... anyone out there who is concerned with the future of ISKCON...
be you book distributor, travelling preacher, maker of Life Members, father... mother... brother… sister… whatever...
you have a duty to make newcomers aware of what they have to sign up and look forward to.
Yes... the future is bright with ISKCON.
