'Dead Horses' Still Running ISKCON

Jul 03, USA (SUN) — After reading Urdhva Ketu prabhu's letter, I had to respond. Urdhva Ketu prabhu says we are beating the same dead horses… sadly the 'horses' aren't dead and are running ISKCON. You state that there are qualified gurus in ISKCON and the atrocities were years ago… and we should move on. Let me remind you, prabhu, that the same perpetrators and/or their 'partners in crime ' are still being worshipped and sitting on vyasasans… it does not matter if it was 50 years ago.
You seem to think that a pure devotee (some of them , as you state) would mingle with murderers, child molesters, woman haters/beaters/cow killers... this is absurd! Even non-devotees have higher standards than to mingle with molesters, killers, and people with such debauched backgrounds.
You say that we need to move on, this was years ago… yes, we need to move on from our present worship of the unqualified. However, we do need to 'go back' a 'few' years and follow the instructions given by our Founder-Acarya. ISKCON was deviating then and it's deviating now. As long as all of the 'gurus' are still sitting together and condoning or keeping quite about the ones doing wrong, we must intelligently conclude that they are all the same…'silence means we agree', therefore if the 'qualified' gurus that you speak of do not get rid of the unqualified ones, how can you say THEY are qualified? If you aren't a drunk you don't associate with drunks. Plain and simple!
I would also like to remind you that the same atrocities that went on in ISKCON then are going on now. Maybe on a smaller scale, but any of us still in ISKCON are aware that abuse still goes on… the lies/cheating/banning/and numerous other things still go on,.. the gurus participate still in 'power moves' and control, cover-ups, etc… the same things that you say happened years ago.
Last but not least, I do not consider it faultfinding to call a so-called 'pure devotee' out when they are behaving like a demon, or in some cases lower than a demon. These are facts... these are FACTS that the 'gurus' created by their bogus behavior and they themselves are proving time and time again that they are not qualified to sit on the vyasasan... according to their own behavior. Why are you referring to this other prabhu as a fault finder??? These are facts.
My suggestion is that you not follow along and somehow rationalize the worship/adoration of those who have (in a lot of cases) stooped lower than the average non-devotee, what to speak of stooping low by Vaishnava standards. I do not wish to offend you, Urdhva Ketu prabhu, but I feel compelled to correct you on behalf of Srila Prabhupada and the exemplary standard that he set. That standard is not being upheld, and therefore it is not only a farce, but a blasphemy.
