Apr 02, 2013 AUSTRALIA (SUN) A message to Ramai Swami, GBC of Australia, from Sabhapati das (ACBSP).
Obeisances. All Glories To Srila Prabhupada.
For the good of suffering of the Australian yatra, I am urging you resign as the GBC of the zone. Your failure to admit to the serious demise of the Australian yatra and your complete lack of any positive steps to rectify the situation proves that you are no longer a suitable spiritual and managerial leader. Your dictatorial style is so outdated that the general mass of devotees have lost all respect for you. You have alienated most of your godbrothers and you have never made any attempt to mediate or reconcile with them. The consequence being that you have caused a deeply divided community.
In 20 years you haven't even allowed the senior men to be involved in any type of forum. Your policy of divide and conquer has resulted in troubled antagonism towards you. This shows that you may have deeply rooted problems in your personal spiritual life. There have been many conflicting problems with so many senior men. Instead of dealing with them in a mature way and seeking some reconciliation, you arrogantly deride them and drive them away. Its seems it's either your way or the highway.
It is inconceivable how after 40 years you have so little respect for your godbrothers. If they try to make a contribution to the society you simply see them as a threat to your position and in some cases demonise them.
Why do you live in seclusion on your own? What do you do all day? Why is no one allowed to come and visit you? Why do you walk around the streets of Surfers Paradise in beach attire? Your very casual and laid back life style is not befitting of a sannyasi. You live one hour's drive from Brisbane temple which has more or less collapsed and fallen into debt, yet you have made no attempt whatsoever to rectify the situation. You certainly haven't tried to encourage the devotees. Sydney temple used to be the biggest temple in the zone. Now it is empty, in debt, and no one attends the morning program. The place is a complete shambles. Why don't you go and stay there for 6 months and try and save the place? Melbourne is also in a bad way.
Thinking back over the past 20 years, I really can't think of anything much you have done. I don't know of anyone who has been encouraged or enlivened by your association, and I can't think of any projects you have encouraged. Basically your management, or should I say mismanagement, has been disastrous.
I suggest that you should stop politicing, resign from all management positions, go and live in India in a temple for some time and try to become a sannyasi again.
