ISKCON Guru System Still Not Working

BY: RAMANANDA DAS

Apr 23, 2012 — CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND (SUN) — Reading of the bogus claims about the ''divine appearance'' of Romapad Swami reminds me of the activities of our friend Prabhavisnu das, whose true activities have been revealed to the world. Of course, the GBC would have been happy to cover-up his transgressions forever. He was nothing but a cheater and a scammer. Even late last year, he was shamelessly sitting on an elaborate Vyasasana in Russia or Latvia and accepting obeisances, garlands and money that he was not entitled to. The GBC was well aware of his fascination for illicit sex.

Now it is known that he had a series of "falldowns", perhaps since 1995, maybe earlier as well. What is the use of a system that can only offer you a temporary guru? Then again, when gurus like Prabhavisnu become ''hopelessly entangled in sense gratification'', when does some action finally occur?

Currently on YouTube one can see the recent videos of Prabhavishnu, making a big show, singing with a big voice and misleading the innocent or sentimental followers, accepting lavish worship that he was never meant to receive. Was he ever suspended, or was it that Prahladananda Swami and others had doubts about him, but still did nothing?

I tell you now, this sort of scandal should serve to wake up at least a very few devotees that the current ISKCON guru system is still not working.

Thank you.

Ramananda das
