Nimai of Nabadwip

Patit Pavana das Adhikary (Patit Uddharana das)

LORD NITYANANDA

Shri Balarama of Vrindavana, too, came and joined the Lord,
To win Chaitanya's grace as Nityananda He's adored.

He acted out the lilas of Lakshman and Baladev,
Delighting blissful parents by the way the He'd behave.

At twelve His father Hadai gace him to a Vaishnava saint,
Who taught the Boy tapasya and the art of self-restraint.

In Bharatavarsha's holy lands young Nitai traveled far,
Until He learned at twenty that the Golden Avatar,

Had come to Nabadwip, no more His Mission great concealed,
For bhaktas close had seen His Revelation now revealed.

Thus Nitai hurried to Nabadwip to greet the Lord,
The two Eternal Brothers reunited and restored,

Resplendent with a lustrous hue, the Saviour of all men,
Who seek Chaitanya's grace now with Him rejoined again.

All souls may herewith be advised if freedom is their goal,
They should bow low at Nitai's feet to cleanse them heart and soul.

As we can't see without the Sun, without Nitai we're blind;
His grace alone will cleanse anew the mirror of the mind.
