Accept Prabhupada's Teachings with Faith

Apr 17, 2011 — USA (SUN) — The recent article by Lila Shakti dd, "Education, Marriage and Children", is against the teachings of our dear Srila Prabhupada. The author suggests having fewer kids. As the author has 2 kids, it appears that 2 seems to be a good number. I would like to ask what kind of method Lila Shakti devi dasi suggests to control the birth of kids? Is it abstinence? Is she suggesting some other artificial methods of family planning? Srila Prabhupada is clear that only sex for procreation is allowed. The sex done with artificial methods of family planning is completely against his teachings. Such people are breaking the four regulative principles and they are breaking the vow which they took in front of Guru and Krishna.
The author is a counsellor and she teaches her female clients to get a university education. This is against the teachings of Srila Prabhupada. In ISKCON, there is a trend to value material university degrees. But you can find many quotes of Srila Prabhupada against giving importance to university education. In many conversations, Prabhupada has said that the girls don't need high university education.
Morning Walk, July 10, 1975, Chicago:
"We shall teach the girls two things. One thing is how to become chaste and faithful to their husband and how to cook nicely. If these two qualifications they have, I will take guarantee to get for them good husband. I'll personally… Yes. These two qualifications required. She must learn how to prepare first-class foodstuff, and she must learn how to become chaste and faithful to the husband. Only these two qualification required. Then her life is successful. So try to do that."
Lila Shakti dd has failed to teach her kids as stated above by Prabhupada. She also advises others to do so.
Srila Prabhupada instructed that the woman should get married at a younger age. She doubts Prabhupada's instructions. It may appear that this instruction does not make sense, but she should understand she is imperfect and is using material logic to understand the words of the pure devotee. Instead, she should accept the teachings with faith. That way she will get the true blessing of the pure devotee of Krishna, Srila Prabhupada.
Hemamalini dd's comment to Urmila dd also applies to you:
"I would suggest that you instead of trying to teach us, you yourself become a student and start learning basics of Krsna's Vedic culture from other women who are pati-vratas who follow Stri-dharma, and not a career woman like yourself. Otherwise, your behavior paints black the cultured ISKCON ladies."
