Do NOT be Critical

I have just read Sanaka Rsi prabhu's most recent article, "Sexual Abuse Allegations in the Vrindavana Gurukula".
Let us just cut to the chase.
ISKCON leadership could… if they wanted… appoint an independent body to police the ISKCON gurukulas.
But they don't.
The plain simple truth is that an independent CPO body would seriously rock the ISKCON boat.
There are just so many skeletons in cupboards out there.
ISKCON management would then have some serious explaining to do.
Let us take only one example -- the Gauri das case.
Here is a high profile ISKCON temple president who lied… lied… and then lied again.
The original ISKCON 1995 investigation tried to gloss over any wrong doing on the part of Gauri das.
But… as children are prone to do… those children grew up.
Until the very bitter end, Gauri das maintained his innocence… even after 17 testimonies were presented to the ISKCON CPO.
3 GBC members wrote letters of support for Gauri das.
ISKCON guru Sivarama Swami, ISKCON Minister for Justice Sesa das, and UK GBC Praghosa das.
It took 2 years, during which time Gauri das was allowed to continue to use his ISKCON position and ISKCON facilities…
before an official CPO verdict found Gauri das guilty of abuse.
Gauri das was then simply promoted sideways… with the UK GBC Praghosa das, and the Bhaktivedanta manor management refusing point blank to confirm Gauri das's position or salary.
Finally... Gauri das himself wrote, "I am responsible for..." in an official ISKCON document presented to the UK government.
He was signing off on official ISKCON documents.
I have copies.
Gauri das openly broke the conditions of the CPO ruling.
That evidence was presented to the ISKCON CPO.
That evidence was sent to every member of the Bhaktivedanta Manor management.
That evidence was publicly presented on the Internet.
The ISKCON CPO has NOT, to this day, replied with an explanation.
Did anyone hear the ISKCON management object?
Did UK GBC Praghosa das object?
Did ISKCON GBC Sivarama Swami object?
What about the ISKCON Minister for Justice?
Did anyone… anyone from our ISKCON leadership object?
Therefore I say…
the only language ISKCON "leadership " understands is one of brute force.
Our "leadership " lives in a world apart.
They are gutless.
Those so-called leading preachers who openly preach a philosophy of
"do NOT be critical"
are to be held responsible for the demise of Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON.
