Srila Prabhupada boards the train from Madras heading to Nellore; people surround him and ask for blessing. Later Srila Prabhupada comments, "This is the problem. They simply take a sadhu as some means for avoiding paying the doctor's bill, that's all. Ashirvada-maharaja. They are not serious for spiritual life."
(Srila Prabhupada exhibited the qualities of a true spiritual master. He came to save people from the blazing forest fire of material existence. He was never interested in bestowing to his disciples a temporary remedy for the cessation of misery. He spoke the truth which was sometime unpalatable.)
